New Vehicle for Proactive Asbestos Control’s Fleet

Proactive Asbestos Control Ltd have a added a brand new Van to their Fleet. The Van has been sign written in Proactive’s Livery and a special waste compartment manufactured and installed. All asbestos waste needs to be transported in a sealed unit, where it can be protected from damage. Proactive Asbestos Control Ltd hold a Waste Carriers licence issued by the environment agency. After disposing of your waste safely a waste consignment note is issued either by email or post.

Case Study- Northamptonshire-Football Pavilion

Following a request from a client, Proactive Asbestos Control Ltd were requested to carry out a ‘Demolition’ Asbestos Survey of derelict football changing rooms. The Changing rooms had been vandalised and were unfit for use.

Asbestos materials to the walls, roof and ceiling were identified within the report. Following the issue of the survey report in electronic (pdf)and hardcopy Proactive Asbestos Control were requested to carry out the Asbestos Removal and Demolition of the building.

Detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments were prepared and issued to the client and site staff. The Asbestos was removed first then the timber and concrete block building. The site was inaccessible to skip lorry’s so all waste was removed from site using Proactive’s fleet of Vans. Once the work was completed waste consignment notes were issued to the client.

Fire Damaged Industrial Unit- Asbestos Removal Insurance Work

A fire at a food preparation factory unit in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire resulted in severe fire damage throughout with asbestos cement debris internal and externally to the factory. There was also contaminated food waste and water damaged machinery.

Proactive Asbestos Control were called in by Wellingborough Council to clear the complete contents and asbestos debris so the unit could be re-built.

Proactive removed all the asbestos debris, contaminated contents, machinery including fryers, ovens and a forklift truck. The unit was handed back to the client as a bare shell.
