ISO9001 Accreditation with British Standards Institute

Proactive Asbestos Control Ltd have recently undertaken the stage one assessment of the ISO9001 Certification, this was under taken by the British Standards Institute at Proactive’s Wellingborough Office.

ISO 9001 is a certified quality management system (QMS) for organisations who want to prove their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet the needs of their customers.

Stage two of the process when the full accreditation will be achieved is scheduled for October 2015.

Proactive Asbestos Control believes this accreditation will be of real benefit to the company and its customers both residential and commercial.

New Vehicle for Proactive Asbestos Control’s Fleet

Proactive Asbestos Control Ltd have a added a brand new Van to their Fleet. The Van has been sign written in Proactive’s Livery and a special waste compartment manufactured and installed. All asbestos waste needs to be transported in a sealed unit, where it can be protected from damage. Proactive Asbestos Control Ltd hold a Waste Carriers licence issued by the environment agency. After disposing of your waste safely a waste consignment note is issued either by email or post.

Case Study- Northamptonshire-Football Pavilion

Following a request from a client, Proactive Asbestos Control Ltd were requested to carry out a ‘Demolition’ Asbestos Survey of derelict football changing rooms. The Changing rooms had been vandalised and were unfit for use.

Asbestos materials to the walls, roof and ceiling were identified within the report. Following the issue of the survey report in electronic (pdf)and hardcopy Proactive Asbestos Control were requested to carry out the Asbestos Removal and Demolition of the building.

Detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments were prepared and issued to the client and site staff. The Asbestos was removed first then the timber and concrete block building. The site was inaccessible to skip lorry’s so all waste was removed from site using Proactive’s fleet of Vans. Once the work was completed waste consignment notes were issued to the client.
